Hazel Russell
Level 3 Forest School Practitioner
I am a Level 3 qualified Forest School Practitioner and enjoy being outdoors, whether that’s working outside, walking my dog or volunteering in the community. I enjoy camping, campfires, exploring woods and finding new craft ideas which I can create myself from natural resources and then show others. I believe that being outdoors is great and beneficial for people of all ages and abilities and have encouraged my children from an early age.
I have worked with children of all ages for many years - as a qualified childminder for 12 years and running a cub pack for 14 years, and am still involved in scouting at county level by helping organise activities for many events. I have also been a mentor for a local charity that worked with children and teenagers and I am an activity instructor at Lower Grange Farm Scout Activity Centre.
I hold the following qualifications:
• Paediatric first aid
• Woodland first aid
• Level 3 Forest School Practitioner
• Health & Safety and hygiene training
• Child protection training
• Enhanced DBS Check
• Child Safeguarding
• Full Completion of adult training within The Scout Association (wood badge)
• NVQ level 3 in child care and development
• Level 2 Understanding Autism
• I am a member of the Forest School Association.
